    Salesforce Winter 20 Release – Feature Enhancements In Communities for CMS

    Communities got lot of feature enhancements in Salesforce Winter 20.  Salesforce CMS which will help us to Create, organize, and publish content in Salesforce. Take better control of who can publish and edit a community with Access Control in Workspaces Management and give access to unauthenticated community users while knowing that Salesforce is keeping your data safe.

    Harness the Power of Salesforce CMS (Generally Available)

    Salesforce CMS is now generally available with an updated design and some new options, including the ability to localize content. This help us  making content available to the B2B Commerce managed package and communities created using Salesforce Tabs + Visualforce.
    Who can access: 
    1. To access Salesforce CMS and create content, you must be a Salesforce admin or have a contributor role in that CMS workspace.
    2. To add a community as a channel to a CMS workspace, you must have admin privileges in that community.
    3. To organize and publish content in a community, you must have appropriate privileges in that community.
    How to Use it:
    • Content isn’t just for Lightning communities anymore. Get content created and managed in Salesforce CMS using Chatter REST API or Apex and add it to Salesforce Tabs + Visualforce communities.
    • Create custom content types to meet content creation needs, like banners, product announcements, or FAQs, with the ManagedContentType in Metadata API. Custom content types appear as forms in the Salesforce CMS app and can also be used as a way to create collections for publication.Create content dialog with many custom content types available.
    • In the Salesforce CMS app, Share To… is now Channels. Still the place to add communities that share content, just a new name to look for in CMS Workspaces.Salesforce CMS app with Channels highlighted
    • In Community Workspaces manual and dynamic CMS Content collections are based on a specific content type to help target content delivery better.
    • In Community Workspaces, each content type gets its own content detail page to give you better presentation control.

    • In Community Builder dozens of new layout options let us get creative with enhanced CMS Components, giving greater ability to match your needs and your imagination.

    Add Languages to Your Salesforce CMS Workspaces

    Now we can add languages to new and existing CMS workspaces and offer content in all the languages that our publishing channels need to support.

    Work with Translated Content in the Salesforce CMS

    We can offer translated content and manage all versions from our content workspace. Identify content to be translated, export it to your localization partner for translation, import the translated content, and publish it to the destination.
